"We prioritize questions over techniques."
"We value results that challenge our own models."
"We believe small perturbations can reveal governing principles of complex biological systems."
Research Overview
Classic regenerative biology focuses on stem cell behavior in isolation.
We ask instead:
When a subset of cells changes state, how does that perturb local niches, remodel tissue networks, and amplify regenerative responses?
Our recent work demonstrates that partial reprogramming can propagate widespread repair characteristics across cell types and environments.

We show that mosaic partial cellular reprogramming not only alters targeted epithelial cells but also remodels neighboring microenvironments and immune networks, leading to enhanced wound healing and tissue regeneration.
